Our Future

A study series called Jesus Intercedes for Us for Wednesday evenings on John 17; Study nine on verse 24-26..

1.    Where does Jesus pray for us to be?   Compare this with John 14:2, 3.     To what place is Jesus referring?     Since he is not there yet, why does he pray saying “where I am?

2.    At the end of this verse, what are the grounds for Jesus’ request?   How does this compare with God’s reason for answering our prayers?

3.    What might be the reason for the title “Righteous Father” in verse 25?

4.    According to the terms used in verse 25, how has Jesus brought the disciples closer to God?

5.    In verse 26, what are some of the goals of Jesus in drawing the disciple to God?   (Compare John 14:22-24; 1 John 4:15, 16)
